You are NOT Alone

A couple weeks ago I posted on my LairdLove blog and FB that I have been led to share stories of some wonderful women in my life who have courageously written or narrated a difficult time in their life in an effort to help someone else who might be facing the same struggle.  In many conversations with friends and family members, I hear ladies tell me they do not share a lot of the "hard stuff" with too many people for a few reasons: 1 - they don't want to sound negative 2 - they feel very alone, nobody else can relate 3 - the situation is embarrassing or shameful, and so on.  I am here to help break these barriers.  Real life is hard and we all have something to deal with.  And SOMEONE out there has gone through what we are going through now and can be an inspiration, sounding board, or at least help us feel less alone when we are in a dark place.  I have a couple stories together that I will post here on this blog and as I get more together I will continue to post them.  You might or might not be able to relate to these stories, but please take the time to read them, because someone you know might be encouraged if you share the link for HER to read.  You never know who is hurting and can use a listening ear.  If you read something that is interesting to you and would like to connect with the writer, please let me know and I will ask her permission to contact you.  Please understand not everyone is comfortable with this, so the answer might be "not now" but I will keep searching for someone to connect with that has gone through something similar.  Outside of this collection of hope, love & light, if you do not see a story that feels familiar, do NOT forget there are tremendous resources available in lots of places.  Google is a great place to start and if you are unsure what you are looking for PLEASE do not hesitate to message me for help.  I have been pretty successful finding help and resources for myself and others, and I am so happy to share what I have found that has made me a better wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, employee, Christian, and all-around person.  I love you all and appreciate you taking the time to read and share these amazing stories of strong women!  YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
